Stanley Mills won a Nosta Europa award for conservation and a Heritage and Museums award for heritage interpretation. The combination of these awards demonstrates Campbell and Co’s approach to interpretive design at historic properties, which is to intervene with a light touch and express the heritage as found. Working closely with the conservation team we developed five floors of interpretive exhibits within the original Arkwright Mill where looms had continually been weaving for 200 years until the mill closed in the 1980’s.
